The Highline College community invites you to a special dedication ceremony celebrating the life, leadership, and lasting impact of Dr. John R. Mosby.
Throughout his years of service, Dr. Mosby championed equity, diversity, inclusion, and student success, helping define Highline’s identity and strengthen its commitment to supporting all students. To honor his transformative leadership and unwavering commitment to equity, the college will dedicate the newly renovated home of the Equity, Diversity, and Transformation (EDT) Division in Building 25 as the Dr. John R. Mosby Center for Equity, Diversity, and Transformation.
This newly reimagined center reflects Highline’s ongoing commitment to fostering belonging, advancing equity, and creating opportunities for all members of our community. Naming the center in Dr. Mosby’s honor ensures that his legacy of service, leadership, and advocacy will continue to inspire future generations.
As the sun sets, we will gather to honor a life of service, vision, and transformation. Following the ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony at Building 25, we will move to Building 8, Mt. Townsend, to celebrate Dr. Mosby’s enduring contributions to Highline College and the broader community. The event will also include a luminary tribute, providing attendees an opportunity to share memories, messages, and words of gratitude in recognition of his lasting impact. Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome.

For members of the Highline community, EDT is also planning an Open House during Opening Week to welcome faculty, staff, and students into the newly dedicated center. Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned.
