Dear College Community,

Happy Holidays. I hope this season brings you time for rest, reflection, and connection with family, friends, and colleagues. As we close out the year, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your dedication, resilience, and commitment to our students and to one another. Your work continues to make a meaningful difference across our college.

As I step fully into the role of Interim President, I want to share an important leadership update. In order to give the presidency my complete focus and attention, I will no longer be serving in dual capacities.

Beginning January 1, 2026, José “Tony” Garcia, currently the Dean of Advising and Enrollment Services, will serve as Interim Vice President of Student Services. During this time, Tony will continue to oversee his current role as Dean of Advising and Enrollment Services – Student Services, holding both positions concurrently. Upon her return from maternity leave in March 2026, Karén Calles, currently the Associate Dean of Advising & Running Start, will assume the role of Interim Dean of Advising and Enrollment Services.
